About Me

My name is Nikita, I’m a photographer and videographer inspired by nature and travel. I aim to capture the essence of my subjects in their most natural and authentic light giving the viewer a real sense of connection. 

I adhere to a purist approach to photography, capturing images in RAW format and manually controlling settings to optimize quality in-camera. I strive to achieve authenticity and accuracy in my work, avoiding extensive post-processing and instead relying on careful composition and technique to produce high-quality images that reflect my dedication to the craft.

My passion for photography developed years ago when I was in my teens, always with a camera in hand trying to document my daily experiences and the beauty that surrounded me.

In my mid twenties I decided to embark on a life of adventure and spontaneity and spent the next 4 and a half years working and travelling on yachts to incredible destinations worldwide, this line of work offered me the opportunity to see and capture many incredible moments in rather remote places.

I’ve received multiple endorsements from leading photographers through competitions I’ve entered over the years. My work is also featured in the Wineries of Western Australia Magazine – Issue 1.

Having settled in Margaret River, I continue to capture and share all the beauty we’re exposed to in this world on a daily basis, which for me personally is a constant reminder of what’s truly important in life.

After years of being away, I returned to my childhood home, South Africa.  Our trip was a tapestry of joy, love, and adventure, woven together by friendships that feel like family. In Wild Africa: A Photography Journey Through Beauty, Love, and Survival, I share the moments that captured my heart—scenes of wildlife, resilience, and the deep connections that shape this incredible continent. Through my lens, I hope to bring you closer to the spirit of Africa, where every photograph tells a story of life at its most raw and beautiful.
